The 2023 BMW 7 Series is available with a wide variety of engine options. The 740i is equipped with a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six paired to a 48-volt mild hybrid system. This powertrain generates 375 total horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. The performance-tuned 760i xDrive has a turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 producing 536 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque.
For its part, the all-electric i7 offers two electric motors (one on the rear and one up front) and a 101.7-usable-kWh battery pack making a combined 536 horsepower. The 740i funnels its power through a rear-wheel drive system, while the 760i xDrive and i7 xDrive60 both feature an all-wheel drive system. Every 2023 BMW 7 Series is outfitted with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
